Sixty years on, behind the facade of vintage cars, radios, swinging neon signs, traditional pharmacies and barber shops is a vibrant Cuba full of world-changing history, rich culture, colourful people, epic beaches and exceptional natural beauty. Cuba is no longer the Americas’ lonely outpost of communism.

We’ll experience the real Cuba as we stay in casa particulares; learn history and nature from local guides; visit cities where Spanish influence is still alive, and walk the island’s unspoilt beaches and green-decked mountains. We may even see the tiniest bird in the world, the bee hummingbird, only found in Cuba.
